NEAR MAVERICK JUNCTION, HOT SPRINGS, SD
The 2nd Annual Dakota Challenge is the first race of its kind in the Black Hills - a timed event designed to get you in shape for next fall’s hunting season.
5-person heats released onto the course every 15 to 30 minutes.
Competitors race to six different targets over varied terrain
and shoot arrows up to 50 yards away, with their own bows.
Missed target result in a penalty lap, built into the course.
Four divisions: Open Men, Open Women, 40+ Men, 40+ Women
Prizes Awarded to the Top Few Finishers in Each Division

Competitors must carry their bow, along with five arrows in a quiver or in backpack. Range finders are allowed.
Bring your family! Most of the course is viewable from the registration area. Don’t have a bow? You can just register for the optional Open Trail Run instead!
